Parish Office Volunteers:
Volunteers assist the office manager with answering the phone, selling HOPE, stuffing bulletins, mailings, etc. If you would like to help, please call the rectory at 402-553-7500 to get your name added to the volunteer list.
School Office Volunteers:
Volunteers assist the administrative assistant with answering the phone, making copies, putting packets together, etc. If you would like to help, please call the school at 402-551-3773 to get your name added to the volunteer list.
Stephen Center Shelter:
Volunteers are needed on the third Tuesday and the fourth Monday of the month to make desserts or a casserole (recipe provided) baked in your home and brought to the school cafeteria. Volunteers may also go to the shelter and actually serve the meal.
St. Vincent de Paul Society:
Holy Cross Church St. Vincent de Paul Conference meets every second Tuesday at 7pm in St. Ed’s Hall. The Conference assists parishioners and those in need living within the boundaries of Holy Cross Church. It provides funds for utilities, rent and in some cases, food and clothing to those in need. In addition, the Conference holds food drives and clothing drives each year to assist the needy. The Conference welcomes anyone who is interested in joining us in the Conference’s calling to help those in need. If interested, call the Rectory.
Helping Hands/Human Needs Ministry:
Human Needs serves the physical and emotional needs of Holy Cross parishioners and those within the boundaries of Holy Cross using the Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ.
Communion to Shut-Ins
Volunteers bring the Eucharist to the homebound on a weekly basis, Sundays and Holy Days. This includes Douglas County Health Center and Lindenwood Nursing Home.
