Rummage Sale Benefit for Parishioner 

July 8-9: 8am-4pm and July 10: 12-4pm in the gym. Help us raise funds for Holy Cross school parent and parishioner, who suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (aneurysm) and spent 3 weeks in ICU. **Your donations are needed!** Please consider going through your unwanted, gently used items and dropping them off at the school gym. Volunteers will be available to help you unload your vehichle. Drop-off: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7pm. Questions: call Kathy Callahan at 402-250-5386.

Welcome

Holy Cross Church, located in the heart of Omaha's largest Irish community, has long been known for its rich Irish tradition. In 1986, Monsignor Edward O'Donnell instituted the annual, city-wide St. Patrick's Day Mass. The Mass has always been preceded with a sing-a-long of Irish music, led by the Holy Cross choir.

People from all around the city attended, wearing green outfits and decorated hats. It is a tradition that is in existence today, sans the head gear. Also, to reflect our Irish heritage, Holy Cross Catholic Church has transformed their annual church festival into the Holy Cross Irish Festival.
