The Rectory Office will be closed Wednesday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. We will reopen for regular business hours Thursday, July 5th. Have a safe and happy Independence Day!


Feast of the Assumption

Feast of the Assumption is Wednesday, August 15th and is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times Wednesday: 8:30am, 12:05pm and 5:30pm. The anticipatory mass will be Tuesday, August 14th at 5:30pm.

Holy Cross Church, located in the heart of Omaha's largest Irish community, has long been known for its rich Irish tradition. In 1986, Monsignor Edward O'Donnell instituted the annual, city-wide St. Patrick's Day Mass. The Mass has always been preceded with a sing-a-long of Irish music, led by the Holy Cross choir. People from all around the city attended, wearing green outfits and decorated hats. It is a tradition that is in existence today, sans the head gear.
