Lights, Camera, Auction! Wow! What a fabulous night of fun and fundraising for Holy Cross! A special thank you to our amazing Chairs: Jordan Grieser - the very talented school parent and parishioner, who, among many other things, was the brainchild behind our theme and all the incredible table centerpieces and decorations; Maribeth Grieser - Long-time parishioner and energizer bunny, (who wears sooo many hats), who organized/picked up donations, entered them into the system and wrapped/numbered all the auction baskets and so much more; Cecelia Crown - long-time Holy Cross teacher and parishioner, who led our connection with the school, student volunteers, organization and displaying of school baskets, the student Hollywood walk of fame and so much more! Of course, we can't forget their very supportive husbands, who also helped immensely with transportation/unloading of items, building, fixes, ingenuity, etc. Adam Grieser, Doug Grieser & Mark Crown, who was also our amazing and entertaining MC!
We thank Fr Vitalis for trusting and supporting us, and wow! most of us didn’t know this man can DANCE!
Thank you, Fr Salanitro, for all your years of service to Holy Cross! Your well-deserved Celtic Cross award was a highlight of the evening for everyone in attendance! Thank you for graciously accepting this award!
A special thank you to all the teachers who helped with basket display, which is an enormous task, and they always make the display of auction baskets so incredible: Mary Jo Bassett, Theresa Wiehl, Birdie Coolon, Angie Cunningham, Taylor Tuttle, Amy Wellwood, Mischka Levandowski, Jen Ruch, Kateri Determan, and Colleen Kroeger.
Thank you to our decoration volunteers who worked tirelessly transforming the Scott Center into our “Academy Awards” venue: Lyndsey Worrall, Lauren Sleper, Ann Lawless, Jennifer Rhine, Joe and Rebecca Bezousek and Deborah Dancer.
Thank you to our 7th grade student volunteer “movie ushers”: Sully Nelsen, Matthew Bezousek, Deangelo Bayley, Libby Naughton, Elizabeth Deck and Rinnah Dancer. Thank you to former Holy Cross student (’17), Corey Callahan, who worked the registration/check out table, the liquor pull, clean-up, transportation, and basically did everything his mother asked : )
Thank you to our transportation of items and cleanup volunteers: Lisa and Geoffrey Comstock, Colleen Naughton, Dan Maher, John Wolfe, Katie and Brian LeFavbre.
We are very appreciative of the amazing talents of our auctioneer Scott Moore, our DJ- Jesse Swanson with Chaos Productions, bartending services by 1316 Jones, LLC, Craig Moody of Moody’s Marque Letters and of course the Scott Conference Center staff is always top notch with excellent food.
We are so thankful and appreciative of all our item donors, which is at the heart of this event, because what would we bid on without them! Watch for that list to follow. Such an amazing night! Holy Cross Gala is April 20th, 2024, at the beautiful Scott Conference Center again! Be sure to get registered by April 12th if you would like to attend and enjoy a wonderful meal, lively auction, program and dance! We will be honoring our long-time pastor, Fr Carl Salanitro this year with the Celtic Cross Award. And don't forget to send in your raffle tickets to win some great money!
